Homemade Lemonade

I learned this from my mom because she likes to make everything fresh.

4 slices lemon (take out the seeds and add more slices if you want more zest to your juice)
1 quart water
1 quart container (I recycled a juice container)
1-2 Tablespoons of honey (depends on how sweet you want it)

Boil water in a pot. Once it boils, add lemons slices to the water. Allow it to simmer on low for a few minute then turn off the stove range and let the lemon slices sit in hot water for about 30 minutes, or until it cools. Add water and slices to the container. Add honey and shake it up. That's it! Finished.

side note: My mom said that she doesn't like to boil too long because it will take away the vitamin C. I agree. Also, as I was writing this, I thought of something! Add mint leaves!! Hellz yeah.

Recycled container from when I bought organic grapejuice
I drank half of it before I took the photo. It's damn tasty!
